Scaldis Prestige de Charmes (ABV 10.5%) from Dubuisson Brewery is a Scaldis Triple matured in oak barrels which were previously used to store white Burgundy wine, specifically the famous Charmes Meursault.

Thanks to this exceptional procedure, Prestige de Charmes offers an extraordinarily rich taste on the palate. It develops an aromatic explosion of white and yellow fruit, with flowery and citrusy touches, as well as wine-like impressions contributed by the Chardonnay grape. Production is strictly limited to one cuvée a year; these bottles are labeled 2018.

At the dining table Prestige de Charmes makes the perfect companion for seafood and shellfish, especially dishes served with a white sauce. It matches beautifully with pâté de foie gras and a summery salad.

Scaldis Prestige de Charmes is an exceptional beer rated 99/100 on Ratebeer.com.

The Dubuisson Brewery was founded in 1769 by Joseph Leroy in Pipaix, a hamlet in the Wallonian region of Belgium, as a farm brewery after an imperial decree ending tax exemptions closed aristocratic breweries in the region including the estate where he was employed at the time.

More than a century and a half later, his heirs (through the female line), brothers Alfred and Amedee Dubuisson, decided to cease all commercial farming and concentrate fully on the brewery business.

Today the Dubuisson Brewery, still family owned and operated and one of the oldest and most respected independent breweries in Belgium, exports superior quality ales to at least twenty countries including the USA, Australia, France, Chile, and Vietnam.
