Lindemans Kriek Lambic is a Fruit Lambic that pours rose red with a light frothy pink head.

Top fermentation with the wild airborne yeasts specific to Belgium's Senne region, and the addition of cherries and/or cherry juice to the brew maturation process results in a tangy, softly carbonated ale with an ABV of 4.0%.

The aroma and flavor of sweet cherries dominate; the fruity esters, however, never overly sweet or cloying, are perfectly balanced by a soft and sour acidity.

The finish is delicately tart and crisp.

Food Pairings

As an aperitif in place of dry sherry, with carbonnade a la beouf, mussels in white wine or Gueuze, flavorful cheeses. Serve cold at 2-3 degrees C in flute-shaped Lambic glass.

Lindemans Brewery, initially a family farm in southwest Brussels, began commercial brewing operations in 1822. They specialized in Lambics – a unique style of wheat beer wholly dependent on wild airborne yeasts for fermentation as well as on an exceptionally long period of maturation up to 3 years.

Over time, brewery revenue gradually outpaced farming revenue and by 1930, the Lindemans family was able to cease farming operations altogether to concentrate fully on the brew business.

Today the brewery, still family owned, exports its award winning ales to a dozen countries including the US, where their ales outsell all other Lambics.

Very tasty with the cherry flavor. I don't care for any other beer and happy I found you so that I could enjoy the beer I like.

Wish the small bottles were in a 4 pack or six pack. I don't like the variety pack because I don't care for the apple or peach. Can't get enough of this!!! I am on my last one, and don't really drink that much, until now!!

OK. Now this cherry lambic beer is every bit as yummy as the fabulous raspberry beer. To resolve the conundrum I have purchased more of both!

Sampled - and was very good - waiting to see if it adds enough cherry to 2 gallons of Belgian Quad (Homebrew) to make a decen Three Philosopher's clone.

Fine beer from a country with great taste

I have tasted all the flavors offered and my favorite is still the cherry. I made dinner for a friend (noodles and goulash a basic european dish, nothing fancy but the cherry beer made it special. My friend was so impressed with the beer he keeps asking for the noodles and goulash too. Too funny. Unfortunately Specs in Austin only carried the small bottle, apparently not as popular as the Strawberry one. The Cherry one rules!
