Het Nest Brewery in Turnhout, Belgium began in 2000 as the beer-tasting club of a group of 8 friends. Their avocation became a passion. After taking a brewing course in 2006, they began home brewing, and won third place in their first competition. Turnhout being known for the manufacture of playing cards, they developed a line of beers on that theme, brewing at Boelens, Anders, and Pirlot Breweries until in 2015, they built their own new, ultramodern brewery.
