Enterprise Gluten Free Dry-Hopped Lager (ABV 4.1%) is produced from all gluten free ingredients -- water, millet, buckwheat (soba), brown rice, sorghum, hops, and yeast -- by De Proefbrouwerij in Belgium for Green's in the UK. It's dry-hopped with West Coast USA hops for an appealing floral finish.

Pale golden in color, the nose is a mix of citrus-floral aroma sensations. Clean with a crisp, light malt taste, but with an herbal, hoppy finish. Body and mouthfeel are light and refreshing.

Food Pairings: Gluten-free pizza, hearty soups & stews made from gluten-free ingredients, and with your favorite sporting event. Try Dry-Hopper Lager with burgers or bratwurst off the grill.

One of Best GF Beers! Why are restaurants not serving this?!?

KenD, your review nailed it! This is the first GF beer that made me say, "Now THAT is a beer!" In fact, it is the first GF beer I would put head-head with regular beers. I have served it and fooled people who "hate" GF beers. If I had a restaurant I would add this to the bar menu to expand my customer base. While it is strong on the hops, I tend to prefer that, especially over the overly sweet sorghum and corn based beers from other breweries. It goes great with a burger with swiss cheese and mushrooms or Asian takeout. Unfortunately BevMo stopped carrying this Green's Enterprise Dry Hopped brew at their stores, so it has become nearly impossible to find in San Diego. I hope another retail store or distributor wakes up and picks it up.

My favorite gluten free beer

I can't say that I've tried all of the gluten free beers yet, but so far this one is by far my favorite. The dry hopping of course makes this Green's lager more hops assertive than many regular lagers, especially pilsners, but I basically like to taste the hops in a beer so it it works for me. The combination of other ingredients (sorghum, millet, etc.) avoids the too sweet or cloying taste of so many sorghum based GF beers. It is not malty, but it provides an equivalent moderately light base to which just the right blend of aromatic hops is added. Like most GF food and drink, it's not a perfect substitute for a good malt-based lager, but it is pretty good in its own right. I recommend giving it a try.
