Gôde Méthode Originale Brut (ABV 11.5%) from Brasserie Gôde was developed by Godefroy Baijot, a Champagne grower with Flemish roots. It combines an artisanal recipe for a pure and "Brut" beer -- with a pale golden color and floral flavor -- with the ancient techniques used to produce a fine sparkling wine.

Pouring clear, pale gold with sustained effervescence and an airy head, the aroma is floral and spicy, with notes of citrus and peach. Barley malts provide a hint of caramel.

Taste follows the nose, with herbal, floral, and citrus notes, and a silky mouthfeel. The absence of residual sugars makes this beer particularly dry and bright. The finish is reminiscent of a great sparkling wine. 25.4 oz (corked) bottle.
Brasserie Gôde was founded by Godefroy Baijot, a French Champagne grower with Flemish roots in the town of Godewaersvelde in French Flanders, near the Belgian border. He sees his beer as the encounter between two lands: the "red brick" of Flanders and the "white chalk" of Champagne. It also blends the ancestral craft of brewing with the traditional Method for sparkling wines.
